Born from an experimentation of the OpenOffice.org Education Project, OOo4Kids goal is to become a well adapted  7-12 years office suite, derivated from OpenOffice.org, but as "part of" OpenOffice.org project. The ideas behind this original project are experiment new features, new UI and so on, work with students to write the code (with the goal to integrate only the best features in OOo), and of course prepare children to use OpenOffice.org. The origin and the ideas will be presented in the first part. In the second part, will be presented the technical changes, used to make it true. Next part, will be presented the features who will be implemented, and, in parallel, their pedagogical interest. The last part will present what has been done, and tracks who could help to improve
